The event will feature the best fresh local seafood such as raw and charbroiled oysters, fried shrimp and fried oysters. Croatian favorites served included grilled calamari, grilled sardines, spit roasted lamb, čevapčići, prosciutto, cheeses, and a multitude of Croatian desserts.
Drinks served include Croatian beer and wines along with a local favorite – Tako Toddies.
Cultural attractions include Croatian kolo dance performances by local Croatian ladies. In the clubhouse (Konoba) there will be cultural videos, historical displays, needle work displays, Croatian cooking demonstrations, and travel information for Croatia. A kids area will be available throughout the day with a variety of interactive displays and activities.
Featured entertainment will be the Klapa Balatura Opuzen returning again from Croatia, accordion player Damir Radov and local musicians Rachael and Josh Riley Duo.

FishSTOCK is a new free festival focusing on community resilience, adaptation and celebrating Plaquemines natural resources and rich culture of the parish members through a variety of educational art, science, food, music and hands-on activities.
Searching for the Ghosts of the Gulf, a collaborative project with artist and biologist Brandon Ballengée, a Studio in the Woods and Plaquemines Parish Government, is excited to be hosting a new festival for our coastal communities called FishSTOCK! Searching for the Ghost of the Gulf, through participatory art and science has explored missing Gulf of Mexico fish species with youth, fishermen, and community members that are themselves under threat.
We have already received commitment from multiple local organizations who are excited to participate in FishSTOCK and help facilitate many of the hands-on activities. We can not wait to bring this event to life and share a day of fun and learning with Plaquemines Parish and our attendees!

The Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival celebrates the parish’s unique seafood and culture by offering delicious cuisine prepared by local restaurants and organizations, including the Croatian American Society’s famous chargrilled oysters.
The festival includes lots of fresh seafood, live music, carnival rides, crafts from local artisans and an oyster drop raffle. A 5k race will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. and there will be a kids’ tent on Saturday and Sunday.
Admission is free on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, admission is $5 for adults and free for children 12 and under.
Gates will be open:
Friday from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
