FishSTOCK
March 25th, 2023 from 11am to 4pm
Location: 499 F Edward Hebert Blvd, Belle Chasse, LA 70037 Field 5
FishSTOCK is a new free festival focusing on community resilience, adaptation and celebrating Plaquemines natural resources and rich culture of the parish members through a variety of educational art, science, food, music and hands-on activities.
Searching for the Ghosts of the Gulf, a collaborative project with artist and biologist Brandon Ballengée, a Studio in the Woods and Plaquemines Parish Government, is excited to be hosting a new festival for our coastal communities called FishSTOCK! Searching for the Ghost of the Gulf, through participatory art and science has explored missing Gulf of Mexico fish species with youth, fishermen, and community members that are themselves under threat.
We have already received commitment from multiple local organizations who are excited to participate in FishSTOCK and help facilitate many of the hands-on activities. We can not wait to bring this event to life and share a day of fun and learning with Plaquemines Parish and our attendees!
